Survivor...Again and Again and Again

Survivor Panama: Exile Island starts on Thursday, and not a moment too soon! This one ought to be good...4 tribes divided up by age and gender (initially, at least). Should be some other shake-ups as well, in terms of the rules. Needless to say, I can't wait! There's just so much entertainment that American Idol can provide (usually not too much after the horrible, wonderful, fugalicious audition rounds).

I think the new 'hidden idol' strategy is a good one, better than what they did in Guatamala.

There are two good strategies. I actually have to acknowledge, much to my discomfort, that lying about having it is a good one; that would never have occurred to me, so really there are three.

1. announce you have it and force your enemies, to vote you out twice in a row. The politics of the game are such that the universe always shifts in the three days between votes.

2. The stronger strategy is to not reveal it and pull it out after the vote. By having another person go out, possibly a strong player, you change the dynamics of the tribe, which almost always results in shifting politics except for the strongest alliances. However, the best part of the this strategy is that if the #2 person gets off it could end up being a strong player, especially if you are in the minority. So, its 4 to 3 against you and your buddies and you go up with 4; the 3 that your minority vote for is on the stronger side.

At any rate, I like the twist a lot. It will be interesting to see how long the lie about having it will last...

See you Saturday!
